Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! I love this time of year. It is so much fun. Except for deciding what to get, and actually going out and getting it. Shopping stresses me out! But I thought it was fun yesterday CJ and I were eating lunch and he started singing Frosty the Snowman. He loves that song and I just wanted to share his version:

Frosty the snowman, happy jolly snow
with corn pipe, button nose, and two eyes made of cold.

He sings more parts but this is his favorite and he will sing it over and over again. I love hearing all the songs that I like to sing coming from my little boy. He also likes to sing Santa Claus is coming to town. So very cute. I can't wait to see him Christmas morning. He is so excited for all the presents.

Getting Ready for Christmas

CJ and I got christmas out the day after Thanksgiving. CJ loved seeing all the fun decorations and I'm sooooo happy I had some fun christmas toys for him to play with. They have been really nice because he likes playing with them, and I got to put up all the breakable stuff while he was busy. We turned on some Christmas movies and played. This is CJ dressed up like Santa. With stockings on his hands for gloves. :) He makes me laugh. He also found the big stockings and asked what they were. When I told him they were stockings he looked a little confused and said "to put on your hands for the oven" He was getting a little confused with the oven mit that we have.

I loved this! CJ got tired and he decided to take a nap under the tree and watch the movies.

Baby L was also sleepy and he was sleeping on the couch while we were decorating the house.

My two boys!

I've been having fun taking care of two boys. Sometimes it is a challenge but I'm enjoying it. Here are some pics of what we do. Yes I know they are all the same. CJ loves to lay next to or hold his little baby brother. He is always asking if he can hold him. Most of the time I have to say no because he is sleeping but he gets to hold him a lot.
Boys snuggling!

Baby L fell asleep like this. I had to laugh. It looks like he went to sleep in the middle of a stretch.

My two little bugs. Sorry the bottom pic is sideways.

More baby holding.

CJ being such a big boy. He is listening to the radio on Daddy's gift from work. (A portable radio) I can just imagine him 10 years older and this is all I'm going to see. Earphones in his ear listening to music.

We are kind of working on potty training CJ. He has a potty chart now and he finished a whole row (7 times) so he got a prise. He loved the puzzle and played with it the rest of the night. It is still a little hard for him to do but he is getting better and better at it every day.

His favorite part of it is Frank. He says that he doesn't like him but I think he is becoming CJ's favorite character in Cars.

Hide and Seek

Lately CJ's favorite thing to do is play hide and seek. We have played a lot with him and a few times we hide Baby L and CJ finds him. The other day we were finding Baby L and this is where CJ found him.
He thought that it was a really good hiding place and climbed up with him to snuggle. And then told me to go count and that they would hide right there. :) Silly boys!

Halloween

So I know this was a while ago but I just got the pics off of my camera and wanted to share.
This year for Halloween we went down to Grandma and Grandpa's house to trick or treat. It was really cold and rainy but we went ahead and took the kids out anyway. CJ was really excited to get into his costume and he had lots of fun running to every door he didn't even care that he was all wet. Us getting ready to leave, and CJ not wanting to look at the camera.

Running up to the door.

Andi and I staying dry under the umbrella with Baby L.

Flapping his wings! He was the best little owl.

He would "fly" on Dereks shoulders. They had lots of fun running around together.

Bath Time

So today was bath time for both of my boys. This morning I gave Baby L a bath, he really needed it. He hasn't gotten one for a long time, we are always busy at night so I gave him one this morning. At the end of the bath I got him out and went to put on his diaper and just started laughing. Baby L always poops in the tub! At least once sometimes twice. This time as I was getting him out I was thinking to myself that I had done the whole bath without him pooping but I didn't want to say anything out loud because I didn't want him to poop at the last second, but he read my mind and he did it anyway. I'm waiting for the day when I don't have to clean poop out of the tub. :) Tonight was fun too, I had CJ take his own clothes off, he just needed a little help getting his shirt off of his head. He is getting so big I can't even believe it. Once I took of his diaper I sent him down the hall to the bathroom. As he was walking he yelled "This is going to be fun, I know it!" I just started laughing. What two year old says that? CJ climbed into the tub and I asked him if he needed to go potty on the big boy potty before we got in the tub, he thought for two seconds then said no, and started laughing. I look down and there he is peeing in the tub! I wish that I could just convince him to go on the big boy potty, he is soooooo ready to be potty trained. He even holds everything in and then lets it all go and then we have a blowout diaper. It gets really frustrating. Hopefully someday soon he will decide he likes going on the potty instead of his diaper. :)

Two week stats

On Nov. 3rd Baby L had his two week apt. I love our doctor because she is so nice and always has a ton of nice things to say. Plus she knows everything! Here are Baby L's stats he is 21 1/4 in long, (he shrank!) and 9lb 5oz. He is in the 90th percentile for both his height and weight. I wonder if he will get really tall like CJ is. Also this week I weighed Baby L again to see how much he weighed a week later and he was exactly 10lb. So since he was born, after he lost his weight, he has gained a pound and a half! That is a lot in just three weeks. We are enjoying having a new baby in the house. CJ is still loving his little brother and can't get enough of him. He always wants to hold him and lay next to him and tell him stories. I can't wait until Baby L is big enough to actually play with CJ a little bit. I hope CJ is still interested in playing with his brother by then.

Introducing Baby L :)

I know it has taken me a long time to do this post but here it is finally!

On Sat. morning the hospital called me at 5:45, they asked me if I could be there at 7:15 to have a baby and I said yes. Yay it was finally time. We were a little late and got there at 7:30. I was all hooked up by 8:00 and then we just had to wait. The worst part of the whole day was getting the stupid IV. The nurse tried twice to put it in and I really felt like I was going to pass out on her. But after she couldn't do it the second time she went and got help. I was glad she didn't try to do it again.
At about 12:00 the nurse came it to check on me and told us it was time to get the doctor. Once everything was set up and the doctor was there I only had to push through 3 1/2 contractions and Baby L was out! It was really really quick, I couldn't believe it.

Baby L was born at 12:40, weighed 9 pounds 2 ounces, and was 22 inches long. Another big boy! Once the baby was born and cleaned up a little bit my mom poked her head in the room and said "Can we come in? We have a very excited big brother out here." The next thing I knew I saw CJ pulling my dad into the room and over to the bed. CJ loves his little brother so much! When we got to the recovery room he sat on the bed with me and held Baby L and wouldn't let anyone else have a turn.

After everyone got to see Baby L, CJ went to the mall with the granparents and got a Build a Bear Owl. He named it Owl Moon and loves it. When they got back Baby L was getting his bath. He didn't like his hair washed, but he didn't cry durring his whole bath like CJ did. Baby L is such a mellow baby. He doesn't really cry unless he is hungry.

I was so suprised at how well Baby L slept. He was such a good baby for the first little while. He would sleep through anything and he slept all day and all night. The only time he would wake up was to eat and then he would go right back to sleep.

CJ was really happy to finally have Mommy and the baby home after two days. All he wanted to do was play with the baby. It is too bad that Baby L can't really play with him yet. CJ loves to do tummy time with Baby L and he like to show Baby L everything he is doing (building blocks or playing with stickers).

We are very happy that Baby L is finally here!

Panda

Tonight CJ and I went and picked Daddy up from work and took him out to dinner. We went to Panda Express, one of our favorites especially on cold rainy/cloudy days. CJ loves eating there! And his favorite thing to eat there is the sweet fire chicken, he likes the pineapple in it. :) So after we were all done eating and backing out of the parking spot CJ says "That was yummy!" It was so cute. I'm so glad that we can do fun things like that and that CJ likes doing them too.

The baby is almost here!

The baby is almost here. I only have two and a half weeks left. Yay! We are officially scheduled to be induced on Oct. 16th if the baby doesn't come by himself sooner. Today we went and had an ultrasound to see how big this baby was getting since CJ was so big, and this baby isn't looking like he is as big as his brother. That is a very good thing, right now he is measuring 7lb. 15 oz. and he will probably gain another pound in the next two weeks. So I will still have a big baby, but hopefully not as big as before. I just can't wait for him to get here. I want to see him and I don't want to be pregnant anymore, but at the same time I don't feel ready at all. I'm trying to get everything set up for him and our house cleaned, but sometimes it just feels like the harder I work the more I find that I need to do. Oh well ... we are just getting excited for him to be here and are happy that it is so close.

Potty Time

The last couple of weeks CJ has been getting really good at telling me when he goes potty in his diaper. I'm really happy because it is just another sign that he is getting ready to use the big boy potty. Tonight I gave him a bath and he always wants to sit on the potty after he gets out. I always let him because it is really easy because I don't have to take off any diapers. This night we were talking about going potty and getting the pee pee to come out and if he does he gets a truck. (Something that I thought would help motivate him a long time ago) So tonight he got a cold chill and I asked him if he was cold. He said yes and stood up and said "all done" When I looked into the potty there was a little puddle. I couldn't believe it. I was so proud of him. He imediately wanted the truck that I had promised him, so we took care of the pee pee and he got to flush the big, big boy potty and was really excited. Then we got his clothes on and he got to pick a truck to keep. He was so proud of himself and wanted more trucks so he imediately wanted to go sit on the potty again. Unfortanatly the second time he wasn't able to get a truck, but at least he is trying! I'm so proud of my little boy and can't believe he is growing up so fast. :)

Train Ride

CJ loves going to the mall and this is why. He loves to see the train. They don't have them at all the malls but he loves to look for the train whenever we are there. Whenever we would see it CJ was always good about just watching it drive around and never asked to ride it. But today we decided it was the day that we would let him ride it because he is always so good when we go shopping. When I asked him if he wanted to ride it he got the most excited look on his face. It was almost like he was saying "That is an option mom!" So we went over and bought out tickets. Daddy watched and took pictures and CJ and I rode the train around the mall. CJ was a little scared at first and wouldn't sit on the seat by himself so he sat on my lap. I think that worked better because then he could see out better. I wish we could ride the train everytime, CJ had such a fun time. It made his day!

Idaho Trip

I finally have pictures from our Idaho trip. yay!

The first day that we went to Carey, ID we went and looked at the farm that Grandpa C use to work at during the summers. When we were there they were feeding the bummer cows bottles of milk, and CJ got to help Grandpa feed a bottle to a baby cow.

After we left the farm we went back to the fairgrounds to eat and wait for the kids rodeo to start. While we were all just sitting around talking CJ decided he wanted to go try roping a "cow" like the older kids. He was having a lot of fun watching everyone and playing with the ropes.

At the kids rodeo they had kids 8 and under doing all of the activities. The first one they did was sheep riding. CJ thought it was really fun and would clap everytime they would open the door for a sheep to come out. Nobody rode the sheep for very long (nobody lasted 8 secs.), but CJ thought it was the best thing ever. After that he got a little bored and we decided to leave early and get him to bed.

The next day was went to see the Shoshone falls (I'm not sure if I spelled it correctly) The water wasn't very high but I thought that they were still really pretty.

We decided to get a snack before we drove out to Carey and I wanted a Jamba Juice, and CJ was just being silly inside and was squishing his face against mine and wouldn't let go of my head. We were all laughing pretty hard. :)

That night we had a BBQ at Grandpa's Aunt and Uncle's house. CJ ate really well and was having fun following the other kids around. He also had a fun time feeding Grandpa jello pudding.

He also got to ride a tractor and a dirt bike. He thought that both were really really cool.

The next day we went up to see my grandparents in Boise. While we were there we tried to go see Grandpa's horses but they didn't want to come say hi. They were out in the pasture and didn't think it was time to come in. CJ also found Grandpa's tractor and wanted to ride it.

After playing at the barn we went back and played in the backyard. CJ had fun playing on the swing set and jumping on the tramp.

He even helped Grandma look at some of her flowers.
