Stories

One night Uncle G came over to see the boys. The boys love to see their uncle and were having lots of fun playing with him. Soon it was bedtime and we started to do our bedtime routine and the first thing we do is read stories. This night CJ wanted Uncle to read him the story. But CJ didn't just want uncle to read the story, he wanted him to read the story in their tent. So this is a picture of Uncle reading CJ a story in the tent while Baby L is trying to get in and read too. It is so cute to see the boys play with their uncles.

Grandpa Great

Right after Baby L was born Grandpa Great passed away. And one of our favorite reminders of him is a Frog that sings. Well everytime we go down to Grandma's house she has this frog sitting on the counter and Baby L wants to get it down and have it sing. He loves to watch it and hug it. It is fun to see him love it so much. :)

The honest truth

Last night the boys were up a little later than usual and CJ was having a snack before bed because he didn't eat any dinner. He was all done and we were cleaning him up and said ok it is time for bed. CJ yells "I'm tired!" pause "no, no I'm not. I'm not tired."Daddy and I both started laughing, and said I think you are tired. It is time for bed. Then daddy was getting CJ in his pj's and he does the exact same thing. It was really cute that he was so tired and he kept telling us and then he would change his mind because he didn't want to go to bed.

Reading

A few weeks ago we got some new clothes for the boys and were doing a fashion show and trying all of them on. Baby L got some really cute halloween pj's and they say BOO and have a picture of a ghost. Well I've been trying to help CJ with letter sounds and putting them together to make words and I thought that this was a perfectly easy word to try and read. So we name the letters and I tell him the sounds and we go back and forth saying "b" and "00" and this was our conversation:
me: say the sounds
CJ: b ... oo
me: faster
CJ: b .. oo
me: faster
CJ: b .. oo
me: faster
CJ: b .. oo
me: ok what word is it?
CJ: Ghost!
We all laughed really hard. I thought for sure he would be able to read the word so now I guess boo spells ghost. :)

Bogging?

So I think I really need to start blogging again. So much has happened and that is why I haven't been able to blog in a long long time. We have moved into a new house and the computer isn't in the bedroom anymore. I didn't realize how much of a change this would be. I am never on the computer anymore. The only time I am on is to pay bills and I am usually trying to be as fast as I can so that I can get something else done. I never just play on the internet anymore. So starting today I am going to try and do more posting. I really need to write down all the memories that our family has so that I don't forget anything, plus it is fun to share with other people too. :)

I think I remember why I stopped blogging. It won't ever let me publish my posts anymore. grrrrrrrr! Hopefully it will work so that I don't give up again.

6 months

I can't believe Baby L is six months old. They grow up way too fast. We went to the doctor and she said that he was a perfectly healthy little boy. Yay! Just what we wanted to hear. He was 27 inches and 16 pounds 4 ounces. So he is in the 75th percentile in height and 25th percentile in weight. We have tall skinny boys at our house. :) But Baby L is still a runt compared to his brother who was 28 in. and 19 lb when he was six months. I don't want to compare them all the time because they are two totally different boys, it is just fun to see how different they really are. CJ is loving that he can play with Baby L a little bit more, and keeps asking when does he gets to play with Baby L. I keep telling him that Baby L is getting bigger every day and will learn to play with him a little more every day. I hope that they can be the best of friends because I can already see that they love eachother a lot!

Sitting

As of Feb. 20th Baby L is sitting! Yay!

First Snowman

CJ finally got to build his first snowman. He has been looking foreward to building a snowman since before Baby L was born. We just haven't ever had enough time with the right kind of snow, but we finally did it! CJ was so happy!

Alien boys

We were playing dress up and decided to make the boys aliens. What do you think?

Toes

Baby L found his toes! He loves to play with them. They are the best toy, because he always has them, he even likes to play with his feet when they are in socks. He is such a happy boy and I love that he is starting to play with toys and have fun with them.

Big boy underwear

So I know this was a while ago but I still wanted to post about it. But the night we went and got CJ's big boy underwear we went to the South Town Mall and both grandparents met us there. He picked out his favorite underwear and we went and stood in line forever it felt like to buy them. He wasn't very happy at the time because he had just woken up from a nap and still wasn't very awake.
But then we got to go ride the train. CJ was very happy and I wish that the pic wasn't so blurry but I love his face in it. Grandpa and I rode the train with him and he had a fun night getting his big boy underwear. When we got home he put them on and kept wanting to change them. He decided that his favorite ones were the nemo ones but the sad thing was that they didn't fit quite yet. We ended up getting a size too big because it was the smallest one left at the store. I put them away and we went and got him some Thomas the train ones and now those ones are his favorite.

Digger in da no

CJ loves to "digger in da no" (dig in the snow) This winter he helped grandpa dig a path in their backyard. It was so cute to see him diggering :), my parents even had a little shovel just his size. Now he likes to digger in anything, and my favorite part is the fact that he calls it diggering!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Daddy's family had a tradition that a leprachan came to visit them every year on St. Patrick's Day. Each year they would make a potion to try and catch him. Well we tried to do it this year and we didn't have enough time to do a potion before bed but he did come visit and left us a note, candy and a little bit of his gold. It was lots of fun, and to celebrate we also had a green breakfast. Green eggs and ham, and then green pancakes. It was lots of fun, and CJ loved the green pancakes. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

applesauce

Last night we tried to give Baby L some real food. Since CJ's first food was applesauce we tried the same thing for Baby L. We got everything all ready and he was really excited to put a bib on and be a part of the table while we were eating dinner. Daddy got the camera ready and I got the food. I got a little on the baby spoon and stuck it in his mouth, and it came right back out. He looked at me like I had just fed him dirt. He didn't like it at all. I tried to give him more and he wouldn't have any. It all ended up on the bib. Then I decided to try somthing else, since I didn't have any rice cereal, I decided to give him a taste of something we were having, pork and beans. I just dipped the spoon into the sauce and gave it to him. This time he made a face but he didn't spit it out the second I put it in. In the end he had about four spoons of pork and bean sauce. My silly little boy!

Christmas Day

For Christmas CJ wanted a blue bicycle from Santa, and when he went downstairs and walked into the room, he first picked up Baby L's new play gym and then walked over and looked under the Christmas tree. He walked right past the bike without even noticing anything. We finally pointed it out and he was super excited. Santa even gave him back the letter CJ wrote to him with a note back to him saying thanks for the letter. CJ thought it was really cool and couldn't wait to try out his new bike. The is Baby L in his new play gym. He loves it! He plays in it all the time. It is so great to be able to put him down and have him be entertained for a little while.
This year was super fun, CJ was really into opening everything and figuring out all the cool things that he got from Santa.

CJ gave everyone their presents from under the tree, that was his big job this year.

And after he gave the people their presents he would help them open the presents also.

CJ got a sand table from Grandma and Grandpa, we set it up downstairs and he had a ton of fun. It is still their because it has been so cold, but now we need to get it out on our balcony. He spent hours and hours playing with it, and still plays with it for a long time everytime we go down to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa.

This is all of us stainding around watching CJ play with his sand box.

And then we tried to help CJ ride his bike. He can't really ride it by himself yet. He doesn't like to turn the handlebars so we end up running into the walls, and he doesn't quite understand how to pedal yet. He always goes a little bit foreward and then instead of pushing a little harder at the bottom with his foot he starts pushing with his top foot which makes the pedals go backwards so he ends up braking instead of going foreward. But we have lots of time to practice and we have a nice big tennis court that he can learn to ride in. I'm so excited that it is getting warmer and we will be able to bring these fun outdoor presents home from Grandma's house.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we got to go to both grandparents houses. First we went to Daddy's parents house and got to open presents with everyone. One of CJ's favorite gifts this year was some duplos. He loves duplos!!! We play with them almost everyday all day long. He also got a big puzzle mat and he was playing peek a boo in the big bag that it came in, until he ripped it open. :)
Daddy fell asleep with Baby L and his new blanket. The funny part about this picture is that he just had two Mellow Yellow's so he had a lot of caffine and then passed out.

Later that night we went to my parents to spend the night. After the boys were all ready for bed Santa came to say hi. He got to stay for a while and even read CJ a bed time story. It was a tradition in my family to read The Nativity on Christmas eve, so this year Santa got to read it to us.

CJ even sat on Santa's lap the whole time. I was really proud of him for not being scared of Santa.

Then it was off to bed. CJ went to bed really quickly but had a rough night and kept waking up. It wasn't a very fun night. He didn't feel very good from being so excited and not eating very good things. But in the morning it was super excited to see what Santa had left for him. :)

Big Boy Underwear

We have been kind of potty training CJ over the last few months. I haven't pushed anything just asked a few times if he wanted to go potty and sometimes he did and sometimes he didn't. As he has been going we have been filling up a potty chart. Well tonight he finished it! all 35 spots! Now we get to go and get his big boy underwear. He is so cute, we have been talking about this for a while now and he has the whole thing planned out. He wants both of his grandparents to be there and he wants to go to the South Town Mall and buy them at Macy's. After we buy his underwear he wants to go and ride the train. I can't wait until tomorrow night. My little boy is growing up. I just hope I don't have to clean up too many accidents now.

Family Christmas Party

We had a family Christmas party with Daddy's extended family. We had lots of yummy food and prizes and Santa even came to see us. We all had a lot of fun and it was nice to see everyone for the holiday. CJ loved the vacumm. They got it out to clean up all the crumbs from eveyone and the two year olds were the ones that cleaned up. :)

CJ and Baby L on Santa's lap. CJ loved Santa. He was so excited to see him. He watched him the whole time while he was giving little bags to all the kids. He even wanted to sit on his lap twice. Once by himself and then another time with his brother.

Santa and Baby L. This was Baby L's first time seeing santa! He was so good too. He didn't even cry.

CJ wrote Santa a letter and gave it to him. He told Santa that he wanted a blue bicycle for christmas. He was so cute giving him his letter. He wouldn't talk to him but he needed to give him his letter.
