My little explorer

So CJ loves to explore everything. He also loves helping Mom with everything around the house. He loves to unfold the laundry and unload the dirty dishes from the dishwasher. He also likes to follow me all over the house. One of his favorite games is chase. He loves for me to chase him down the hall or around the kitchen table.

CJ also got some new toys (thanks to my Aunt K). His favorite is this little table. He pushes it all over the place, it is great walking practice.

This past weekend the family went up to Boise to visit my grandparents. It was lots of fun to get out of the house and do something new and different. CJ got to meet a lot of new people and animals. :) He loved going out and visiting Grandpa's horses. He got to meet my mom's parents for the first time this weekend. They thought he was adorable and loved to get to know him.

Swings, Piano, and Standing

CJ has been very busy lately. He is crawling everywhere and wants to explore everything. We went up to my parents and he loved playing the piano, keyboard and the drum that my parents had. While we were there we also started to teach him how to crawl down the stairs. It is too bad we don't have any at home to learn with.

At home we are having fun exploring everything around the house and he is pulling himself up on everything he sees. We are finally getting around to baby proofing the door and drawers. He loves to stand with the chairs and push them around the kitchen and look out our sliding glass door at the birds in the tree.

And now that it is a little warmer outside we are having fun going down to the little swingset in our complex and swinging. CJ thinks it is lots of fun and squeals with delight whenever we go outside. He loves to swing and it makes him nice and relaxed, just perfect right before his afternoon nap! :)

Little random stories

I wanted to start with some little random stories, just to update everyone on what we have been up to lately. Over valentines day weekend, Daddy, CJ, and I went up to visit my parents. CJ had a lot of fun exploring a new place and seeing all the different things at Grandma's house. He loved playing the piano, and he even started to learn how to crawl down the stairs.


















CJ has been growing up so fast. He is getting really good at crawling and pulling himself up on everything. He has even learned how to open cabinet doors. Which gives me a lot of work to do to make sure he doesn't get into anything he shouldn't.

















He is also a very funny little man. He doesn't like to use his binkie the "normal" way. He likes to use it as a chew toy and finds all sorts of funny ways to put it in his mouth. This is one of my favorites!

CJ has also been eating solids for a while actually but I've started to feed him goldfish crackers and cheerios. He loves to feed himself. And did you know that it takes all five fingers to get a cracker in your mouth? lol he puts his whole hand in his mouth when he is eating. Another thing that he likes to do is store all of his food in his mouth and then slowly pull it back out again when it gets too full. He also loves to make yummy noises while he eats. It is really fun.

The Beginning

... So here we go ... I'm going to try out blogging. We'll see how well I can keep up with it. :)
