Blessings

Tonight we went and had dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's. CJ always loves going over there and playing with new toys and his uncles. After dinner right before we left, Grandpa gave the boys blessings for starting school. This time we did them in the living room downstairs where all the toys were so that CJ could just play. Daddy went first and CJ played very quietly and was a very very good boy. After Daddy was done he climbed up on the couch next to me and put his hands on my head and told me to close my eyes. He stood there for a min. and then said "amen!"
I thought it was one of the cutest things he has done. I had no idea he was paying so much attention. They really do learn new things every single day.

Idaho

We are in Idaho on vacation! Yay, I know it isn't the most exotic destination but we have been having fun here. We are here with Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle D, and Grandma and Grandpa Great. Today we went to a county fair. We got to see some kids show their cows, CJ really liked watching all of the animals and loved seeing a whole bunch of new things. In the evening we were waiting for the kids rodeo to start and CJ watched all the little kids play with ropes and rope the cow (a plastic cow head in a bale of hay). He even went over and played with a rope for a little bit. He was having fun and he thought he was so good at moving the rope around :) Then we went to the kids rodeo, where they have kids under the age of 8 doing different things. CJ's favorite thing was watching them ride the sheep. I was amazed at how rough the sheep were. There wasn't a kid that stayed on for 8 seconds. Most fell off the first second or so. We are finally back to the hotel and going to bed after a long fun day.

A little funny :)

So I was in the car with CJ the other day and we were waiting for Daddy to pump the gas, and I was asking him all kinds of questions to keep him from crying and not being happy. So I asked him what his favorite color was. He thought and thought and didn't answer me. So I asked him if he knew what favorite means, and he told me yes he did, but I still told him " it is what you like the best". So I asked him again "What color do you like the best?" and he thought and thought and thought and then answered ... "five". I thought it was funny. He was trying to really think hard about the question but he wasn't thinking colors he was thinking numbers. :)
